The Perfect Pie Crust

In season one of Gilmore Girls, while Lorelai (played by the ever-wonderful Lauren Graham) is trying to decide whether or not to go on a date with her daughter’s teacher, she shares these wise words:
“I’m attracted to pie. It doesn’t mean I feel the need to date pie.”
Up until recently, I thought this was sage advice. But now, I’m thinking maybe she never had a piece of pie quite like this…
Mulled Cider Muffins
Ahh, fall…
My favorite time of year has finally arrived, and I’m ready to make the most of this all-too-fleeting season. For many, taking full advantage of autumn means apple picking, hay rides and drinking an exceedingly unhealthy amount of pumpkin spice lattes. And, don’t get me wrong, I intend to do all of those things. But, for me, fall is all about the food.
This season is bursting with nature’s best – from picturesque landscapes to heartwarming ingredients. And I plan to enjoy it all to the fullest.
Today, that means making mulled apple cider muffins. Yum.
A Visit to Vermont
There could not have been a more perfect time for my first visit to Vermont. Everywhere I looked there was something beautiful to see: richly colored leaves in every autumn hue, wildflowers, and endless rolling hills.
