Try this quick and easy DIY for a fun and festive flower arrangement this Easter!
Easter is just around the corner, and if you’re still trying to come up with centerpiece ideas or looking for a way to spruce up your bouquet of blooms, I have the perfect last-minute fix for you.
What you’ll need:
- curling ribbon
- jar or vase (I used a mason jar because I have a seemingly unlimited amount lying around my house, but any kind of clear glass jar will work.)
- flowers (But I’m guessing you already knew that!)
To elevate a simple bouquet to a festive and eye-catching arrangement, I simply added curled ribbon to the vase for a pop of color and a bit of fun.
To start, curl about 10 long pieces of ribbon. Take half of them and place them in an empty jar. Fill the jar about a quarter of the way. Next, place the remaining ribbons in the jar, and continue filling it with water.
If you’re making a simple arrangement like the one I have here, it would be best to place the flowers in the jar one by one so that the stems don’t push the ribbons to the bottom.
If you’re using a more full bouquet that’s already been arranged, place them in all at once – just try not to sink all the ribbons. But, no fear, if you do squish down all the ribbons, just grab a tweezer or a fork and pull them back to life.
If the vase doesn’t look full enough once the flowers are in, just push the stems aside and add some more ribbon before letting the flowers settle back into place.
I hope you have a wonderful Easter Sunday filled with flowers, fun, and family. Enjoy!
